A graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, Jerry has continuously grown in his knowledge and love of the Lord since being radically transformed by God in high school after growing up in the church. Nate Reimer has reached his ministry funding goal!

Nate and Lexi Reimer

We’re excited to announce Nate Reimer has successfully reached his fundraising goal just in time to hit the ground running on campus and finish out the school year!

Nate had this to say as he reflected on his journey: “Throughout support raising, the Lord caused me to have greater faith in Him in a new way. Whenever I questioned if He could provide, He used those times to bring me into a deeper, humble dependence upon Him. In that renewed humility, I could press on in boldness until the Lord provided all that I needed. As I begin ministering on campus, I want to continue in this faith, trusting the Lord as the provider once again, but this time for the fruit of ministry on campus as He softens students' hearts to the Gospel!”

When DM staff raise support, they don’t go it alone. Each staff is assigned a support-raising mentor to help guide them! For Nate, that was DM staff Dan Miller, who shared this: “Nate was a pleasure to work with. He shared openly and honestly about his struggles, and that is a skill that will serve him well on campus. Just like in support raising, our words and tenacity matter on campus, but it is the Lord who changes hearts. Honestly, though, I’m a little sad he finished so quickly because now I won’t get to talk to him as much.”

Nate is already hard at work on campus and has been well-received by his new team. His team leader, DM staff Brian Parker, had this to say: ““Nate joins the Lehigh Valley team at a time when there are growing ministries on many of our campuses and a need for more staff. His passion for sharing the gospel, winsomeness in engaging all kinds of people, and his handling of God’s word leave him well-equipped to help many students flourish in their relationship with Jesus. We are so thankful for Nate and Lexi as they join our team!”

Praise the Lord for His good work! Please pray for Nate as he serves, and for his wife Lexi, who is planning to volunteer as she is able.

Congratulations, Nate!

Sarah Stone has reached her ministry funding goal!

Sarah Stone

Praise God and celebrate with us! Sarah Stone has reached her ministry funding goal and is diving into her first ministry assignment at Kutztown University!

Since her launch last June, Sarah has worked hard – and she wasn’t just raising up a team of supporters for her ministry with DiscipleMakers. Sarah was also expecting her first son, little Jericho, who she and her husband Jesse welcomed last August. After taking a month and a half to adjust to motherhood, Sarah wisely eased back into support raising and – just a few weeks ago – she reached her goal!

Her mentor during support raising, Christianna Otto, was greatly encouraged by her growth during this season. She remarked: “It has been such a privilege to walk with Sarah through her journey of support raising! When life changes, Sarah’s love for the Lord never wanes, and that shines in her passionate excitement to care for other people and help them know Jesus. I’m so excited for her to live out her hope in Jesus with college students!”

As Sarah looks to this new season, her campus team is eagerly welcoming and supporting her. One of those people is her longtime friend, Tori Zbinden. We asked Tori for her thoughts, and she said this: “Sarah is such a genuine friend and follower of Christ. I am so excited to have her as a co-laborer at Kutztown University; we are going to be so blessed by her faith and wisdom lived out!”

Sarah will now be serving part-time on campus at Kutztown University, where her priority will be to engage with and disciple young women on the leadership team as well as first-year students connected with the fellowship. Meanwhile, her husband Jesse will serve as a volunteer as he seeks to discover how he might best serve DiscipleMakers as a ministry.

Praise God for His provision, and join us in celebrating this milestone for Sarah!

Becca Negro has reached her ministry funding goal!

Becca Negro

Praise God and rejoice with us! Becca Negro has reached her ministry funding goal and is primed and ready to start on campus in the Lehigh Valley!

Since June, Becca has been hard at work, raising support for her ministry with DiscipleMakers full-time. As can be the case for anyone taking on such a task, such a season can prove both encouraging and challenging. When we reached out to Becca for her thoughts, she shared this: “Support raising was sometimes challenging and discouraging, but by God’s faithfulness, He has drawn me closer to Himself and has made the gospel all the more sweet to me in this season. The Lord has taught me to be bold and take steps of faith for His glory, and I praise God for using this and many other lessons along the way to sanctify me in this process!”

Her mentor, DM staff Becky Della Piazza, was quick to offer congratulations, saying this: “Becca progressed through her initial fundraising for DiscipleMakers with confidence in her God who could provide. I loved having a front-row seat at watching Becca make steps of faith in support raising, despite fearful circumstances, and then stepping back and watching God bring in the funds. I’m excited to see how God will use Becca and her soon-to-be husband Clark in the Lehigh Valley as a future Mummau DiscipleMakers missionary team!”

Now, Becca is eager to leap into the good work God is already doing on our Lehigh Valley Team. And her new team leader, DM staff Brian Parker, is eager to receive her, offering this: “Becca is a tremendous answer to prayer for the Lehigh Valley Team! She has already jumped right in to love and know students at DeSales and Muhlenberg College as God grows those ministries in number and depth.”

Congratulations, Becca, and good work! We’re proud of you and grateful to God!
