Jessie Martin has reached her ministry funding goal!

Jessie Martin

We’re excited to announce that Jessie Martin has reached her ministry funding goal and has already begun full-time work in the Human Resources department of our Headquarters in State College, PA!

Jessie’s fundraising journey was not an easy path, as our God writes different stories for all of His people. Still, Jessie demonstrated resilience, and the Lord saw her good work and heard not only her prayers, but the prayers of those around her. Not the least of these people was DM staff Megan Williams, Jessie’s support-raising mentor, who shared this: “Throughout a long and sometimes discouraging season, Jessie pressed on toward the goal not simply of full support but of knowing and treasuring God himsel! She thrived when she could see God working on her heart even when there was "no fruit on the vine"..

Plenty of fruit has indeed grown. As she reflected on the season, Jessie shared this with us: “I’m grateful for all the lessons God taught me through my support raising journey. Now I am excited to serve DM staff at all of our campuses by doing behind-the-scenes work in HR!” Her new manager, Brandon Wenger agreed, and added this: “Jessie being added to the department is answer to prayer. We’re excited to have her!”

The wait is over. Jessie is now serving us in this new season of HQ work. We’re already enjoying her wisdom, work, and welcoming spirit. Thanks to the many donors and friends who made it possible.

Congratulations, Jessie!

Nate Reimer will serve on our Lehigh Valley Team!

Nate & Lexi Reimer

We are pleased to announce that Nate Reimer will serve on the Lehigh Valley team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

It’s been a busy year for Nate. In addition to joining DiscipleMakers and launching into fundraising, Nate married his wife, Lexi, last December. Even better, Lexi is planning to volunteer alongside Nate once he reaches his goal! In the meantime, she has been a great supporter, both by encouraging him and helping him stay focused on Jesus as he ministers to others.

Though Nate’s support raising journey recently began in June, the Lord’s work in him has already been clear. When asked to reflect on his progress, Nate said this: “This season of support raising has shown me how much I need to depend upon the Lord and His provision, allowing that to give me peace as I labor with eagerness to get on campus. I am no longer anxious about how He will provide, but rather motivated to reach the students and trust in faith that the Lord will provide in His timing!”

As Nate has stepped out in faith, his mentor, DM staff Dan Miller, couldn’t help but notice it, adding: “What a faithful brother Nate is. I’ve been really proud of him as he’s boldly jumped headlong into a season of life that is difficult for many people. Nate has a real confidence, and it’s in Jesus.”

As Nate continues to raise support, the rest of the Lehigh Valley team eagerly awaits the day when he reaches his goal. In fact, his landing team leader, DM staff Brian Parker, had this to say: “Nate and Lexi joining the Lehigh Valley team couldn't be more timely. The vibrancy of their love for people, their boldness in sharing the gospel, and their winsomeness in being all things to all people will make an immediate impact for Jesus on our campuses.”

We’re exited for you, Nate! As he is now just over 20% of his ministry funding goal, please pray as he continues to raise support and looks ahead to serving alongside the Lehigh Valley team.

Steven Detwiler has reached his ministry funding goal!

Steven & Danielle Detwiler

Great news! Steven Detwiler has successfully reached his fundraising goal just in time to hit the ground running on campus as a part of our Berks team!

Steven had this to say as he reflected on his support-raising journey: “We are amazed at how God has provided so abundantly for us in this season of support-raising. He has provided both prayer and financial supporters along with many deep friendships and connections, all while sanctifying us and making us more like Him. We are excited to see how He will continue to work in and through us as we begin our journey on the college campus and are sent to glorify Jesus Christ by sharing His gospel with everyone we meet.”

When DM staff raise support, they don’t do so alone. Each staff is assigned a support-raising mentor to help guide them. For Steven, that was Tony Beard, who faithfully walked with him through this season. Tony had this to share: “Support-raising is already a unique experience, but when you enter it working full-time and with a family, God provides additional opportunities to grow in faith. Every step of the way Steven's confidence in God's provision has been evident. Yet no matter how hard he served God in this season, he never lost focus of his ministry to his wife Danielle, and their three children. The Berks Team is blessed to have such a capable and faithful laborer.”

Praise the Lord for His good work! Please pray for the Detwilers as Steven starts on campus. Pray for Steven as he adjusts to this new role, and pray for Danielle as she takes care of their three kids at home including their son Titus who was born just over a month ago!

Congratulations, Detwilers!

Tyler Pick will serve on our Mason-Dixon Team!

We are pleased to announce that Tyler Pick will serve on the Mason-Dixon team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

Tyler’s support-raising journey has been exciting so far, and began with an added bonus: Just a month ago, Tyler married his new wife, Maddy, who is planning to volunteer alongside him once they reach their goal!

And while this is just beginning, the Lord’s work in Tyler through the ministry of support raising has been clear. When asked to comment on Tyler’s progress, his mentor, DM staff Colby Benedict, remarked: “I have been deeply encouraged by Tyler's humility in support raising. Despite navigating the workload of two jobs, getting married, moving, and raising support, he has been slow to complain, quick to ask questions, and even quicker to lay his cares before the throne of grace. I am challenged by his unwavering reliance on the Lord in this season and his deep desire to honor Him in all things.”

As Tyler continues to raise support, the rest of the Mason-Dixon team eagerly awaits the day when he reaches his goal. In fact, Tyler’s landing team leader, Kevin Noyes, had this to say: “Tyler has already shown his eagerness to bless students and our staff team. We have prayed for more disciples of Christ and gospel laborers, and God has answered that prayer in Tyler. I am encouraged by Tyler's faith, and we are all eager to see how God works in and through him on the Mason-Dixon Team!”

Tyler is now nearing 20% of his ministry funding goal! Please pray as he continues to raise support and looks ahead to serving alongside the Mason-Dixon team.

Becca Negro will serve on our Lehigh Valley Team!

Becca Negro

We are pleased to announce that Becca Negro will serve on the Lehigh Valley team when she reaches her ministry funding goal!

Becca’s support raising journey has been exciting so far, and began with even more exciting news: Recently, Becca was engaged to DM staff and Clark Mummau. We are delighted for their wedding and new life together!

As the journey is underway, Becca has kept her focus clear and her mentor, DM staff Becky Della Piazza, has been cheering her on. When asked to comment on Becca’s progress, Becky said this: “Becca has been progressing through her fundraising with DiscipleMakers with confidence in who her God is and how lavishly He provides for His children. I'm excited to see how God will continue to provide the funds Becca needs to be on campus in the Lehigh Valley and beyond!”

Becca’s landing mentor, Lehigh Valley team leader Brian Parker, is likewise sharing the enthusiasm. In looking ahead to the goal, he remarked: “The Lehigh Valley team has a great need for more laborers who are eager to invest their lives and the gospel into students on campus. I'm eager for Becca to soon join our team as we work to cultivate campus communities on mission for Jesus Christ!”

Becca has reached 12% of her ministry funding goal! Please pray as she continues to raise support and looks ahead to serving alongside the Lehigh Valley team.

Connor McChesney and Gabby Klepeiss to serve on the Penn State Team!

Connor McChesney and Gabby Klepeiss

We’re excited to announce that Connor McChesney and Gabby Klepeiss will serve on our Penn State Campus Team when they reach their ministry funding goal! We’re also excited to announce a huge factor in this shared placement: They are engaged to be married!

To some, this news may not be a surprise, as Connor and Gabby became friends while attending the DiscipleMakers Christian Fellowship at Kutztown University during their sophomore year. This friendship grew into a relationship a year later as they served on the leadership team together, and all the more as they served together as DM campus interns last year where they were heavily involved in summer outreach and discipleship at Penn State’s main campus.

So, when they both pursued careers with our staff team earlier this year, it was no surprise that marriage would follow close behind. The Lord has also kindly aligned their ministry placement desires, as they expressed a desire to serve full-time at Penn State as campus staff once their support raising is complete. Penn State has a special place in our hearts,” Gabby remarked. “The internship showed us both how much we loved serving on campus, and we’re so happy to be looking forward to serving together.” We’re all happy to see them get their wish, the Penn State campus team especially so. Team leader Matt Geiger added this: “I had the privilege of working with Connor and Gabby as interns, and now I'm thrilled to see how God will use them with us full-time on campus!”

When will they finish support raising and land on the Penn State team? The Lord knows, though Connor and Gabby would love to hit the 50% mark by their wedding date, which is set for October 26th. Would you pray for that goal, and pray perhaps even that they would exceed it? Please also pray for them as they prepare to begin their next chapter together as husband and wife.

Congratulations, Connor and Gabby!

Nate Reimer has joined the DM staff team!

Nate Reimer

We are thrilled to announce that Nate Reimer has joined the DiscipleMakers staff team! Nate is currently a senior at Muhlenberg College where he expects to graduate in May 2024, and has appreciated his involvement with the DiscipleMakers student group there.

When we asked Nate to share his thoughts, here’s what he said: “Through my time as a student at Muhlenberg College, I have realized that my desire is to see people living outside of God's grace come to know Him through Christ for their salvation and to God's glory. I can't wait to live out that desire by serving Him in full-time ministry!”

Please pray for Nate as he completes his senior year. Once he graduates, he will work on raising the funding required for his ministry with DM.

Please praise the Lord with us for another worker for the great harvest on college campuses!

Rebekah Fodale has reached her ministry funding goal!

Rebekah Fodale

Exciting news to announce! Rebekah Fodale has successfully reached her fundraising goal and is transitioning to her new campus role on the Penn State team, with a particular focus on reaching international students.

Over the past ten months, the Lord generously provided all of Rebekah’s funding needs, but that’s not all. Character growth is a substantial way in which God grows His people during the season of support-raising. Rebekah’s mentor, DM staff Megan Royes, had this to say about how she saw God grow Rebekah during the process: “Rebekah showed remarkable faithfulness, courage, and humility in her season of support raising-- always quick to ask for help, implement ideas, and obey the Lord, even if that meant facing her fears. She has come out of her support raising with a greater love for others, a commitment to prayerfulness, and a deeper conviction of her calling.”

Both looking back and anticipating the new season ahead, Rebekah shared this: "God abundantly provided for me in the season of support raising in such beautiful and unexpected ways. I'm excited to see how He will continue to work as I come alongside international students who have never heard the hope of Christ before!"

We praise the Lord for providing for another one of His beloved workers. Congratulations, Rebekah! We’re proud of you.

Thinking back on her time with DM in college Gabby said this: “Through college ministry, I have witnessed first-hand the life-changing power of the gospel. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to labor for the Lord's harvest so that all can have a chance to apply this redeeming truth to their own lives!”

Please pray for Gabby as she completes her senior year. Once she graduates, she will work on raising the funding required for her ministry with DM.
