Becca Negro has reached her ministry funding goal!

Becca Negro

Praise God and rejoice with us! Becca Negro has reached her ministry funding goal and is primed and ready to start on campus in the Lehigh Valley!

Since June, Becca has been hard at work, raising support for her ministry with DiscipleMakers full-time. As can be the case for anyone taking on such a task, such a season can prove both encouraging and challenging. When we reached out to Becca for her thoughts, she shared this: “Support raising was sometimes challenging and discouraging, but by God’s faithfulness, He has drawn me closer to Himself and has made the gospel all the more sweet to me in this season. The Lord has taught me to be bold and take steps of faith for His glory, and I praise God for using this and many other lessons along the way to sanctify me in this process!”

Her mentor, DM staff Becky Della Piazza, was quick to offer congratulations, saying this: “Becca progressed through her initial fundraising for DiscipleMakers with confidence in her God who could provide. I loved having a front-row seat at watching Becca make steps of faith in support raising, despite fearful circumstances, and then stepping back and watching God bring in the funds. I’m excited to see how God will use Becca and her soon-to-be husband Clark in the Lehigh Valley as a future Mummau DiscipleMakers missionary team!”

Now, Becca is eager to leap into the good work God is already doing on our Lehigh Valley Team. And her new team leader, DM staff Brian Parker, is eager to receive her, offering this: “Becca is a tremendous answer to prayer for the Lehigh Valley Team! She has already jumped right in to love and know students at DeSales and Muhlenberg College as God grows those ministries in number and depth.”

Congratulations, Becca, and good work! We’re proud of you and grateful to God!

Praise God, the wait almost over! Please pray for Joe as he launches after graduation in May and begins the journey of full-time support raising for his ministry with DiscipleMakers, and rejoice with us for another worker for the great harvest on college campuses!

Liam M. O'Hagan

We are thrilled to announce that Liam O'Hagan has joined the DiscipleMakers staff team! Liam just graduated from Shippensburg Univeristy, where he served as a key student leader as a part of our DiscipleMakers fellowship there. Upon accepting his new position with DM, Liam shared, “My time at Ship has been a testament to how much God is working in college campuses. I can't wait to start fresh at a new campus to grow God's Kingdom in such an awesome way!”

Please pray for Liam as he launches in January and begins the journey of full-time support raising for his ministry with DiscipleMakers, and praise the Lord with us for another worker for the great harvest on college campuses!

Jadon Kessler has joined the DM staff team!

Jadon Kessler

We are thrilled to announce that Jadon Kessler has joined the DiscipleMakers staff team! Jadon graduated from Clarks Summit University in 2021, which in part prepared him to see the campus as an opportunity to expanding God’s kingdom.

Now that Jadon is making the move to DiscipleMakers, he had this to say about his new career path: “I'm thankful for the opportunity to work along such devoted Christians. The DiscipleMakers team is unlike any other team I've worked for. I look forward to the fruitful labor that's ahead.”

Please pray for Jadon as he launches in January and begins the journey of full-time support raising for his ministry with DiscipleMakers, and praise the Lord with us for another worker for the great harvest on college campuses!

Collin Snyder has joined the DM staff team!

Collin Snyder

We are thrilled to announce that Collin Snyder has joined the DiscipleMakers staff team! Collin is currently a senior at Lebanon Valley College where he expects to graduate in May 2025, and has appreciated his involvement with the DiscipleMakers student group there.

When we asked Collin to share his thoughts, here’s what he said: “During my time at LVC, God has used DiscipleMakers to give me a hope found only in Him, and I am excited to witness students finding that same hope!”

Please pray for Collin as he completes his senior year. Once he graduates, he will work on raising the funding required for his ministry with DM.

Praise the Lord with us for another worker for the great harvest on college campuses!

Sarah Stone Has Joined DiscipleMakers' Staff Team!

Sarah Stone (pictured with husband, Jesse)

We are happy to announce that Sarah Stone has joined the DiscipleMakers staff team! Sarah graduated from Kutztown University in May of 2020, where she became a Christian while involved with DiscipleMakers’ student fellowship there. After graduation, she kept her ties to DM as a volunteer, and has now taken the step to serve full-time as a staff worker.

Upon accepting her new position with DiscipleMakers, Sarah said, “Even though I grew up in a Christian home, I lived my life chasing the things of the world instead of God. While studying Ephesians 2 and recognizing how I had been dead in my sin, I gave my life to Christ as a freshman in college. After graduating, I volunteered with DiscipleMakers as my passion grew for college ministry. Four years later, God called me into college ministry in a new way. I am extremely excited to be a part of DM’s staff team!”

Please pray along with us as Sarah begins raising up a team of prayer and financial supporters for her ministry with DiscipleMakers. Pray that the Lord would provide for and bless Sarah’s ministry to college students for many years to come!

Chris Talluto Will Join the Berks Team!

Chris Talluto

We are happy to announce that Chris Talluto has received his campus placement and will be a part of the Berks team in Southeastern PA!

The growing student population (and subsequent need for the gospel) continues to grow rapidly, so Chris’ placement couldn’t be any more timely. His landing mentor, DM staff worker Lincoln Fitch, had this to say: “God has been opening up more and more doors and bringing out more and more students in Berks county over the past few years. Our nets have become very full! We are thrilled God is sending Chris at this key time to push forward His kingdom work!”

Please pray along with us as Chris continues to raise up a team of prayer and financial supporters for his ministry with DiscipleMakers. His support raising mentor, Mike Usilton, has been encouraged by Chris’ tenacity, adding this: “Despite the challenges of support raising, Chris has held fast to the Lord. I have been deeply encouraged by how steadfast Chris is in carrying out the work the Lord has called him to, and I am deeply excited about how God will use him on the Berks team. Way to go brother!”

Praise God for what’s already doing and what He will do. And please pray that the Lord would provide for Chris’s ministry to college students for many years to come as he looks to reach his goal and begin campus work!

Jessie Martin has reached her ministry funding goal!

Jessie Martin

We’re excited to announce that Jessie Martin has reached her ministry funding goal and has already begun full-time work in the Human Resources department of our Headquarters in State College, PA!

Jessie’s fundraising journey was not an easy path, as our God writes different stories for all of His people. Still, Jessie demonstrated resilience, and the Lord saw her good work and heard not only her prayers, but the prayers of those around her. Not the least of these people was DM staff Megan Williams, Jessie’s support-raising mentor, who shared this: “Throughout a long and sometimes discouraging season, Jessie pressed on toward the goal not simply of full support but of knowing and treasuring God himsel! She thrived when she could see God working on her heart even when there was "no fruit on the vine"..

Plenty of fruit has indeed grown. As she reflected on the season, Jessie shared this with us: “I’m grateful for all the lessons God taught me through my support raising journey. Now I am excited to serve DM staff at all of our campuses by doing behind-the-scenes work in HR!” Her new manager, Brandon Wenger agreed, and added this: “Jessie being added to the department is answer to prayer. We’re excited to have her!”

The wait is over. Jessie is now serving us in this new season of HQ work. We’re already enjoying her wisdom, work, and welcoming spirit. Thanks to the many donors and friends who made it possible.

Congratulations, Jessie!

Nate Reimer will serve on our Lehigh Valley Team!

Nate & Lexi Reimer

We are pleased to announce that Nate Reimer will serve on the Lehigh Valley team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

It’s been a busy year for Nate. In addition to joining DiscipleMakers and launching into fundraising, Nate married his wife, Lexi, last December. Even better, Lexi is planning to volunteer alongside Nate once he reaches his goal! In the meantime, she has been a great supporter, both by encouraging him and helping him stay focused on Jesus as he ministers to others.

Though Nate’s support raising journey recently began in June, the Lord’s work in him has already been clear. When asked to reflect on his progress, Nate said this: “This season of support raising has shown me how much I need to depend upon the Lord and His provision, allowing that to give me peace as I labor with eagerness to get on campus. I am no longer anxious about how He will provide, but rather motivated to reach the students and trust in faith that the Lord will provide in His timing!”

As Nate has stepped out in faith, his mentor, DM staff Dan Miller, couldn’t help but notice it, adding: “What a faithful brother Nate is. I’ve been really proud of him as he’s boldly jumped headlong into a season of life that is difficult for many people. Nate has a real confidence, and it’s in Jesus.”

As Nate continues to raise support, the rest of the Lehigh Valley team eagerly awaits the day when he reaches his goal. In fact, his landing team leader, DM staff Brian Parker, had this to say: “Nate and Lexi joining the Lehigh Valley team couldn't be more timely. The vibrancy of their love for people, their boldness in sharing the gospel, and their winsomeness in being all things to all people will make an immediate impact for Jesus on our campuses.”

We’re exited for you, Nate! As he is now just over 20% of his ministry funding goal, please pray as he continues to raise support and looks ahead to serving alongside the Lehigh Valley team.

Steven Detwiler has reached his ministry funding goal!

Steven & Danielle Detwiler

Great news! Steven Detwiler has successfully reached his fundraising goal just in time to hit the ground running on campus as a part of our Berks team!

Steven had this to say as he reflected on his support-raising journey: “We are amazed at how God has provided so abundantly for us in this season of support-raising. He has provided both prayer and financial supporters along with many deep friendships and connections, all while sanctifying us and making us more like Him. We are excited to see how He will continue to work in and through us as we begin our journey on the college campus and are sent to glorify Jesus Christ by sharing His gospel with everyone we meet.”

When DM staff raise support, they don’t do so alone. Each staff is assigned a support-raising mentor to help guide them. For Steven, that was Tony Beard, who faithfully walked with him through this season. Tony had this to share: “Support-raising is already a unique experience, but when you enter it working full-time and with a family, God provides additional opportunities to grow in faith. Every step of the way Steven's confidence in God's provision has been evident. Yet no matter how hard he served God in this season, he never lost focus of his ministry to his wife Danielle, and their three children. The Berks Team is blessed to have such a capable and faithful laborer.”

Praise the Lord for His good work! Please pray for the Detwilers as Steven starts on campus. Pray for Steven as he adjusts to this new role, and pray for Danielle as she takes care of their three kids at home including their son Titus who was born just over a month ago!

Congratulations, Detwilers!
