Going from wanting to make money to wanting to make disciples – that's what changed for me in college. I had been a Christian for a majority of my life when I started at Shippensburg University, but I never made the Great Commission my focus. I pursued a Computer Engineering degree, because I was told that it was the highest paying four-year degree right out of college. Although this promise of wealth seemed fulfilling, God worked in me through college and made me realize that earthly things are vanity and that we are to store up our treasures in heaven. This is when my focus switched to do something for the kingdom, by making disciples, so my labor would not be in vain. I will be serving in the Systems department in DiscipleMakers Headquarters, using what I learned in college towards the mission.
