Mike Usilton to serve in our HR Department!

We’re excited to announce that Mike Usilton will serve in our HR Department at the DiscipleMakers Headquarters when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

Upon learning about his placement, Mike shared this: “God has given me skills in figuring out the intricacies of moving parts, so I am eager to serve our missionaries through our HR department. I am excited to use my efforts to maximize our effectiveness in making disciples on our college campuses!” 

Mike’s future manager, HQ staff Brandon Wenger, added this: “We have been asking the Lord for years to provide another laborer in our HR department and we are thrilled that he is answering that prayer through Mike!”

Mike received news of his placement after reaching a significant milestone in his fundraising; God quickly provided 50% of his DiscipleMakers funding goal, and he currently sits at 76%! This is notable as he just began raising support in May. Please pray for Mike as he hopes to finish before the end of the year and join our Headquarters team as we prepare for the new year!

Jessie Martin to serve in our Finance Department!

We’re excited to announce that Jessie Martin will serve in our Finance Department at the DiscipleMakers Headquarters when she reaches her ministry funding goal!

Upon learning about her placement, Jessie had this to say: ”I am excited to join the finance team and serve the Lord through my work in the HQ! I'm eager to join in the work and thank God for the ways He has provided in this season! ” 

Our finance manager Brandon Wenger shared: “Jessie is an answer to our prayers. In a season where we need increased staffing in our Finance Department, we are very eager to welcome Jessie, and pray that the Lord speeds her towards her ministry funding goal!”

Jessie received news of her placement after reaching a significant milestone in her fundraising; God has provided 53% of her DiscipleMakers funding goal! Please pray for Jessie as she raises the remainder of her ministry funding, and that God will continue to speed her along and bring her to our Headquarters quickly.

Steven & Danielle Detwiler to serve on the Berks Team!

We are happy to share that Steven & Danielle Detwiler will serve on our Berks Team when they reach their ministry funding goal!

When asked to comment on his placement, Steven shared this: “We are super excited to be working with the Berks team and the campuses that are in that region. We look forward to the day when we will be able to invest in the college students in the surrounding area. It’s a great blessing and privilege to reach that area with the gospel of Jesus.”

Steven’s future team leader, David Royes, is enthusiastic to welcome him, sharing this: “We can't wait to have Steven join our team in Berks County. The Lord is opening many doors for the gospel at schools in our area and we are eager to have another laborer to help us reach the campus and make disciples!"

Clark Mummau to serve on the Lehigh Valley Team!

We are happy to share that Clark Mummau will serve on the Lehigh Valley Team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

When asked to comment on his placement, Clark shared this: “I’m so thankful for the opportunity I had during our recent Fall Conference to get to know more of the students and staff on the Lehigh Valley team. God is at work in those students, growing their faith and desire to proclaim the Gospel, and I’m eager to join that work on campus soon.”

Clark’s future team leader, Brian Parker, is enthusiastic to welcome him, sharing this: “[Clark’s] skill in studying and heart to apply the Bible will help students to see the treasures found in God's Word. He has a genuine heart to serve others, and will be a real blessing to many on campus." This should come as no surprise to Clark’s friends and supporters, given his recent graduation from Grove City College, where he received a degree in Biblical and Religious Studies and Christian Ministries.

After being launched earlier this year, Clark is not far from reaching his goal – God has provided 69% of his DiscipleMakers funding so far. Praise God for this significant milestone, and please pray for Clark as he races toward his goal.

Jay Svec to serve in our Finance Department!

We’re excited to announce that Jay Svec will serve in the Finance Department at the DiscipleMakers Headquarters when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

Upon learning about his placement, Jay shared this: “I am excited to use my Accounting Degree to serve the very ministry that helped me grow so much in my faith. I pray that our efforts in the HQ free up our campus staff to maximize their time with students so that they can be ministered to just as much as I was as a student!”

Taylor Maslin to serve in our Event Planning Department!

We’re excited to announce that Taylor Maslin will serve in the Event Planning Department at the DiscipleMakers Headquarters when she reaches her ministry funding goal!

Upon learning about her placement, Taylor had this to say: ”The Lord has shown me through many different experiences in my life how much I enjoy planning and organizing lots of details. This insight has made me so excited to be serving in the Event Planning department! I can’t wait to be serving all of our campuses in this role at our Headquarters!” 

Our event planner, Kate, was thrilled to hear of Taylor’s excitement to join her department. She remarked: “More people means more new ideas that make our events more successful in providing students with unhindered opportunities to hear the gospel preached.”

Justin Negron to serve on the Berks Team!

We’re excited to announce that Justin Negron will serve on the DiscipleMakers’ Berks Team when he reaches his ministry funding goal!

“I’m praising God for the awesome opportunity to serve on the Berks Team, and be a fisher of men!” Justin said. “There’s a ton of wisdom that surrounds this experienced team, and I’m excited to glean it from them!”

His soon-to-be team leader, David Royes, said he is excited to welcome Justin and see how God will use his gifts and talents to help the ministries of the Berks team continue to grow and flourish!

Justin received his campus placement after reaching a significant milestone in his fundraising when God provided 50% of his DiscipleMakers funding goal. He began raising support in June, having graduated from Albright in May. Please pray for Justin as he raises the remainder of his ministry funding - that God would quickly provide and bring him to campus.

Colby and Kierstyn Benedict will serve on our NEPA Team!

We are excited to announce that Colby and Kierstyn Benedict will serve on the Northeast Pennsylvania (NEPA) team when they reach their ministry funding goal! They are just over halfway in reaching this goal. The NEPA team serves on East Stroudsburg University and Wilkes University.

Colby and Kierstyn have been praying since the beginning that God would place them where they could best serve Him. “Over the last few months, it has become abundantly clear that the NEPA team, and the campuses that it serves, is the place where we can play a strategic role in fulfilling the vision of DiscipleMakers to bring the love and grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the college campus.” They added, “We are so excited to be joining what God is doing in and through this team to work in the lives of their students!"

Brian Seay, the leader of the NEPA team, shared his anticipation for their arrival on campus by saying, “The Benedicts are the Lord’s answer to long prayed prayer! We’re so encouraged by their eagerness in accepting the assignment and embarking into the NEPA region with us."

Please pray for the Lord to complete Colby and Kierstyn’s initial support raising, as well as their preparation to join the NEPA team.

Megan Weik will serve on our Mason-Dixon Team!

We are pleased to announce that Megan Weik will serve on the Mason-Dixon team when she reaches her ministry funding goal! 

Reflecting on her fundraising journey so far, Megan said, “I stand in awe of God as He has revealed His power, wisdom and Sovereignty to me abundantly throughout my time in support raising for my ministry with DiscipleMakers. Nothing is too hard for God.”

Megan’s support raising mentor, Carolyn Kirsch, added, “Meg has faithfully pressed into full-time support raising, eager to honor the Lord and to get to campus as soon as possible. I have no doubt that the students on the Mason-Dixon team will be significantly blessed by Meg’s love for the Lord and His Word.”

Kevin Noyes, the team leader of the Mason-Dixon team, expressed the team’s excitement for her arrival on campus. Megan is just as eager to join the team as she has seen God work in all of the details. “Ephesians 1:11 states, ‘God works all things according to the counsel of His will.’ All things — to the waves of the ocean, to the death of Jesus, to the gift of repentance and faith, to my placement on the Mason-Dixon team. I am excited to go and to serve the Lord and to see His name proclaimed on college campuses."

Megan is now just over halfway toward her ministry funding goal! Please pray as she continues to raise support and prepares to transition to the Mason-Dixon team.

Janae Taft has reached her ministry funding goal!

We’re pleased to announce that Janae Taft has completed her initial fundraising for her ministry with DiscipleMakers! Having reached this milestone, Janae will begin ministering with DiscipleMakers’ International Student Group (ISG) on Penn State’s campus.

Since January, Janae has been working on recruiting a team of partners to support her ministry with DiscipleMakers through prayer and financial support. Janae shared that while her support-raising was one of the most stretching periods of her life, it built her faith and joy in the Lord tremendously. She also had the joy of building new friendships along the way.

This semester, she will be spending her time observing her teammates in their ministry roles and building relationships with students to better partner in the women’s and international ministry in a substantial way. Please pray for Janae as she begins investing in students through outreach, bible study and discipleship. “I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to use the gifts that God has given me to reach others for Him here at Penn State. I am so excited to get to know my teammates better as well as the students!”
