Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20

For which of you, desiring to build a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, whether he has enough to complete it?  Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him,  saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’  Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, will not sit down first and deliberate whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?  And if not, while the other is yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace.  So therefore, anyone of you who does not renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple. - Luke 14:28-33

Job Purpose:

Our primary need is to reach more campuses and students. To do this, we need staff who labor as “ministry multipliers” in administrative roles. These ministry multipliers support the work of our on-campus missionaries and maintain positive relations with our donors, staff, auditors, and the law as they labor for the gospel behind-the-scenes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ to students, DiscipleMakers Staff, donors, and others who are in contact with DiscipleMakers.

  • Laboring on a DiscipleMakers Team

    • Each staff is placed on a team.

    • Each staff serves under the supervision of a team leader.

    • Each staff receives support for both spiritual training and professional development.

    • They will work with others to accomplish team goals.

  • Supporting and advancing DM’s mission

    • Headquarters staff fulfill administrative needs and requirements to better equip the entire staff team. Removing this burden from the campus staff allows us to reach more students each year.

    • Staff may be assigned to work in the following capacities:

      • Human resources

      • Accounting/bookkeeping

      • Information technology

      • Communications and public relations

      • Office management

      • Customer service

    • Many Headquarters staff also participate in making disciples on campus.

  • Fundraising

    • All staff raise funds for their ministry with DiscipleMakers. Funds must be raised and maintained to continue serving as a Headquarters Staff with DiscipleMakers

Qualifications:

  • A College Education

    • (Bachelor's degree or higher)

  • Membership (or active pursuit of membership) in a local church

  • Godly character, as evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and an ongoing walk with God the Father through Jesus Christ.

  • A vision to make disciples of college students

  • Disciple-making experience and ability to represent the DiscipleMakers vision to its constituents.

  • Practice in studying the Bible in an individual and group setting.

  • Successful completion of the Candidate Staff position responsibilities.

  • Expertise or experience in administrative capacities.

Working Conditions:

  • Headquarters staff usually work Monday through Friday during general business hours. (9am-5pm)

  • Headquarters staff travel moderately, to maintain support for their ministry with DiscipleMakers, and also to DiscipleMakers conferences.

Thank you for considering whether God is calling you to labor with DiscipleMakers. We appreciate your desire to build God’s kingdom and make disciples. We look forward to hearing from you!
